Can LASIK eye surgery improve your vision if.....?

My mom's job required her to be on the computer all day, her eyesight started to diminish so she got Lasik surgery. Her vision was perfect for a while but after 5 years it started to decline. Now she has to wear glasses to see far away objects, which she is a little ticked about. Hope this helps.
