Whats so great about kindle?

I have a nook color and absolutely love it! What do people see in a kindle? I know it has a long battery life, but what else? You can read with it in sunlight, i can do that on my nook too. Even if it is heavier, ive gotten used to it. I just dont see what is soo great about the kindle. A big factor for me was that barnes and noble is a BOOK STORE, and amazon has a kindle and laundry detergent?????? ? WOW
