Will labradors cause allergy/asthma problems?

i am planning to get a fawn colored labrador retriever puppy. my brother, who is almost 8 years old, has asthma. he wheezes when he runs alot. im not entirly sure if he is allergic to fur or not, but im pretty positive tht he isnt. ever since he was 6, he has been around dogs from time to time, because my friends have dogs like boxers, pugs, labs, and doberman pinschers. he has also been around cats a lot and hasnt evr got a problem. i want to know if wen i get the lab, whether my brother will have problems due to the lab shedding . will it affect his asthma? please help as soon as possible.
